International Music Therapy Week: The 1st International Music Therapy Conference on Childrens's Music Therapy ? June 14-16 ? 2021

The theme of the conference is Health for Children with Music and invite students, researchers and professionals worldwide to talk about the potential of music therapy as a contributor to the mental and somatic recovery of children. The conference highlights the following topics: ? Music Therapy and Early Interaction ? Music Therapy in Pediatric Hospitals ? Children’s Music Therapy and their Family ? Communication with Music ? Children’s Music Therapy Methods and Models
The conference is organized in collaboration with Helsinki University Hospital, Child Psychiatry and University of Jyv?skyl? and held in the context of the New Children’s Hospital, which offers advanced level treatments and expertise and serves the needs of the whole country.

Themes of the conference days are:
? Monday, 14 June: Music Therapy in Pediatric Hospitals (children aged 0-17)
? Tuesday, 15 June: Children’s Music Psychotherapy (children aged 0-13)

Music is a natural and diverse means of expression for even newborn children.

Music helps children communicate in the midst of difficult illnesses and challenges.
